The Great Tin Man

I stand

Rusty in the woods

Lonely by a tree

I am so misunderstood

People pass me by

Going down the road

All full up of themselves

No room for an extra load

All hail the great Tin Man

You think he is so strong

Standing like an empty tin can

Suffering in silence all alone

I try

To say “Please help me”

No words come out

So I am just let be

I dare not think about it

Stuck seeing life pass me by

It’s to risky to let my tears flow

I’ll just rust more if I cry

All hail the great Tin Man

You think he is so strong

Standing like an empty tin can

Suffering in silence all alone

They say

I’ve no heart inside me

They’ve never stopped

They have never listened to see

I stand in the pouring rain

It pours on me every day

The world goes on around me

As I silently rust away

All hail the great Tin Man

You think he is so strong

Standing like an empty tin can

Suffering in silence all alone
